Long Term CareWhat is long term care?When a person requires someone else to help her with physical or emotional needs over an extended period of time, this is long-term care. The need for long-term care help can stem from a terminal condition, disability, illness, injury or the infirmity of old age. St. Michael’s Health Center offers all of our residents requiring long-term care a place where they are treated with kindness and compassion and an environment in which their dignity is preserved. Some of our Long Term Care services include: 1. Nursing staff available on a 24 hour basis. 2. Personal Care Attendants (PCAs) who will assist you or your loved one with personal care needs to the degree necessary, including:

When family and friends are able to assist with these activities of daily living, our residents benefit from the personal care and attention that only they can provide. This assistance is very much appreciated by the staff . Residents and their designates are viewed as an important member of this team.
